Comcast Xfinity is one of the biggest internet, phone, and cable providers, especially in the United States where cybertheft and other cybercrimes are common and daily routine for the US citizens. Despite the reputation of Comcast Cable, the company is infamous for its throttling bandwidth and spying on its customer’s sensitive information.

That’s why many of their customers use free and premium VPNs to protect their private information from Comcast, and in this article, we’ll explain why every Comcast Customer uses a VPN, how can we choose the best VPN for Comcast, and which VPN should you use for Comcast Xfinity.

You can’t even imagine how much sensitive information they steal every year from their customers, especially in 2017 when the US Changed their privacy laws that allowed Comcast to spy on your sensitive information, on top of that, in 2018, a bug was found on the company’s user activation website which could return the users sensitive information.

First, let’s discuss why every Comcast Customer uses a VPN with the help of the following reasons.

Sneaky Snooping

Do you know that the 2008 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Amendments Act allows the telecommunication companies to cooperate with the Federal Government so they can search through email & phone conversations, sent through the Comcast Xfinity.

You can do a quick search on Google to see thousands of articles claiming that Comcast is invading the privacy & monitoring their customers activities, and some sources also claim that Comcast was considering the installation of hidden cameras in their cable box to spy in the living rooms & bed rooms of the people to uncover terrorist threats & full body recognition and much more.

Privacy Issues

In 2017, the US privacy regulation rules that would have made the ISPs get the information of their clients so they can sell the data of the customers but the request was denied which means that they’re still tracking our browsing activities & history, stealing our private information or crucial data form our devices (in some special cases), and selling our conversation details to the third party applications so that they show us their ads.

They did the same thing in 2018 when a bug was found in Comcast’s User Activation Site where users set up their internet & cable service to steal sensitive information like house number, street number, social security number, etc.

Search Tracking

As you all know Comcast has a history of shady work which they claim they don’t do anymore, but the facts are still there claiming that Comcast is still tracking their customers’ browsing history so they can know what their customers are doing with no respect for their privacy.

You even have to be wary of what you search online as govt agencies can get suspicious of you if you try to prove that 9/11 was an inside job. That’s why we recommend our customers to use the services of VPN whenever using a public Wi-Fi connection & Comcast internet connection.

Speed Throttling

The fact that Comcast knows what you do online is proof that whenever you try to stream a show on Netflix or download a movie from a torrent website, your internet connection speed will go down as much as it can to stop you from such tasks. But you can still watch adult content without any age limitation which is a mind-boggling fact for many Non-US residents.

Well, whatsoever, if you still want to stream shows from another region with the fastest internet connection, we advise you to check out the Yearly Subscription of NordVPN which has a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Website Blocking

Comcast Xfinity has the ability to block some specific websites that are spreading some unfiltered truth or ban the websites that are against the policies of the US. That’s why a paid VPN can help you bypass the firewalls, DNS & IP level encryptions with ease as your free VPNs fail at this point.

How We Choose the Best VPN for Comcast Xfinity?

We know how badly you want to set out to purchase the best VPN for Comcast Xfinity, especially when considering the varying experiences with Comcast customer service. However, there are some factors that you have to keep in mind before selecting a VPN for your personal or business usage.

Let’s see which qualities we should consider in a VPN before selecting one, and how it might interact with Comcast customer service:

Privacy & Security

Privacy and security are the main concerns for both VPN users and providers, in fact, that’s the biggest reason why VPNs exist in the first place, so whenever you opt for a virtual private network try to find one that offers a huge trial, or money back guarantee so we can check out ourselves which VPNs are good or bad.

With a premium VPN, no one will be able to see and track what you do online in your free time prevent hackers from stealing your private data & sensitive information by encrypting your internet traffic with the latest encryption methods and the fastest internet connection speed so you can download and upload the stuff you want within seconds.

Bandwidth & Speed

We know how irritating it is to download a movie with a free VPN due to slow internet speed and low bandwidth, but a paid or premium VPN can change the game by offering you the ultimate internet speed so you can upload or download the stuff you want without the alerts of “connection failed” or “connection lost”.

Server Network

If you want fast internet speed, with multiple server options in the US, then we recommend you choose a VPN where you can decide yourself whether you want to connect to the LA server or the NY server–It’s your choice.

Ease of Use

While most of the VPNs are easy to use, you have to keep in mind that there are also several other settings in the VPN App rather than just “connect” or “disconnect.” You have to choose the one whose technical settings are easy to set up and manage so you don’t need any external help, and in case you want help, the customer support of the VPN should be ready to help you out.

My subscription automatically renewed and a payment was taken, which I didn’t want as I haven’t been using the service. I contacted the company and received a prompt and efficient response where my subscription was reversed and the payment was returned. Great customer service
Had some problems with some qbitorrent files and could never find out myself. Looked online for hours which was honestly a waste of time, as I could of just went to NordVPN's customer service chatbox. This was surprising as I was stuck on this all night long but was stupid not to ask customer service but even then, they were able to quickly get me to an agent that could handle my issues. Khai was my agent and he was so nice and like so patient with me because this was all new to me. I did not know for the setup for qbitorrent and nordvpn that the input values for the service credentials isnt your username and password but rather a special key on your own personal dashboard. Khai was even nice and patient enough to explain some terminology for me which was super nice of him. Honestly although vpns can sound confusing, nordvpn knows this and hired/trained some pretty smart customer service members so if you have any issue or problems, just go to the chatbox. Super nice people and chill to talk to and very fast.
