McAfee Safe Connect fails on the metrics that matter most for a privacy product. The most serious issue is logging. Despite marketing language suggesting a no-logs policy, McAfee’s own privacy policy confirms the service logs IP addresses and connection timestamps. For a VPN that exists to protect your identity online, recording your IP address fundamentally defeats the purpose.
